The Altai Mountains & Ermin Valley bioregion is part of the Altai-Sayan Mountains subrealm located in the Central Eurasia realm (central Palearctic) and contains four ecoregions—Altai Montane Forest and Forest Steppe [690], Altai Steppe and Semi-Desert [724], Emin Valley Steppe [728], Altai Alpine Meadow and Tundra [749].
